Terms & Conditions

By booking services with W4 Paws, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Our aim is to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of every dog in our care - as well as clear communication and peace of mind for their owners.
 

1. General Agreement
  • All dogs must be friendly, safe to handle, and comfortable around other dogs and people.

  • Owners must provide their dog’s lead, collar/harness, identification tag, and any required medication.

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations to avoid being charged in full.

  • Payment is due within 24 hours of the day of the walk or sitting. W4 Paws accepts cash, bank transfer, or other agreed payment methods.

  • W4 Paws reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a dog’s behaviour, health, or safety becomes a concern.
     

2. Health & Vaccinations
  • All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments.

  • Any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues must be disclosed before booking.

  • W4 Paws reserves the right to refuse or pause services if a dog shows signs of illness, injury, or distress.
     

3. Behaviour & Safety
  • Dogs must be non-aggressive and safe to walk in public areas.

  • Any concerns such as reactivity, nervousness, or recall issues should be discussed in advance so suitable and comfortable arrangements can be made for your dog.

  • W4 Paws may terminate a session or service if a dog poses a risk to themselves, other animals, or people.
     

4. Weather & Walk Conditions
  • Walks may be adjusted, shortened, or rescheduled during extreme weather (such as heatwaves, storms, heavy rain, or snow) to keep your dog safe and comfortable.  During these times, we’ll work together to find the best alternative -  whether that’s indoor play, enrichment activities, or relaxed comfort breaks - so your dog still enjoys company, care, and attention.
     

5. Keys & Home Access
  • Clients providing keys or access codes agree that W4 Paws will handle them with care and confidentiality

  • Keys should be stored securely and never labelled with identifiable information.

  • In the event of a lost or damaged key, liability is limited to the cost of the key replacement, not the full lock or property.
     

6. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
  • By using our services, you give W4 Paws permission to act on your behalf in your absence, including taking your dog to a veterinary clinic if needed - always with your dog’s safety and wellbeing as the top priority.

  • You agree to reimburse W4 Paws or the veterinary provider for any costs incurred.
     

7. Liability
  • W4 Paws always takes the utmost care to ensure every dog’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing. However, there may be rare circumstances beyond our control - such as unexpected behaviour from other animals, actions by third parties, or environmental factors - where outcomes cannot always be prevented despite every reasonable precaution. W4 Paws will always act with care and responsibility, but cannot guarantee against loss, injury, illness, or death resulting from such unforeseen events beyond reasonable control.

  • Owners are liable for any damage or injury caused by their dog to property, people, or other animals during walks or visits.

  • While W4 Paws holds public liability insurance, each claim is reviewed individually and coverage is not guaranteed.

  • Owners remain financially responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during their dog’s time in our care.
     

8. Photography & Updates
  • Photos and videos may be taken during walks or visits for updates and promotional use.

  • W4 Paws will only share identifiable images of pets publicly with the owner’s permission.
     

9. Confidentiality
  • All client information, including addresses, contact details, and household routines, is treated as strictly confidential and never shared with third parties.
     

10. Force Majeure
  • W4 Paws is not liable for cancellations, delays, or interruptions due to events beyond reasonable control, including illness, transport issues, or extreme weather.
     

11. Updates to Terms
  • W4 Paws may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in services, legal requirements, or best practices.
    Clients will be notified of significant updates where applicable.
